With Generation Y Everything is “On Demand”

It seems everything is "On Demand" as Generation Y brings with them their technology, social connections, music, television, videos, and games. So, what are the latest numbers with technology sales?

The video and music iPod continue amounting for a large payoff for Apple. Chief Executive, Steve Jobs, reports a total of 14 million iPods being sold in the fourth quarter of 2005 alone, with 8 million video iPods included in those numbers.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 sales rang in far below the highly anticipated numbers, reporting total sales of 900,000 in North America at year-end 2005.

In a Wham! Gaming news article, according to Sony, the PSP is marking the fastest market penetration of any PlayStation model ever, shipping 6.22 million PSP machines for the quarter worldwide.

As for satellite radio, the numbers are soaring high in the millions and growing by the minute. Sirius maintains a subscriber base of over 1,100,000 subscribers, and XM totals have reached well over 3,000,000 subscribers.
